Although players can view all the current and past leagues
on the web site, sending them their new league information
by email not only encourages them to get matches arranged
immediately, but also allows you to send other information
at the same time. |
|
|
1. Setting up
From the list of email options on the To tab, select Leagues. |
|
You can only send league emails to one league at a time, so if
you are running several, such as Men's Squash, Junior Squash and
Racketball, you must send each one separately. From the League
to advise of drop-down, select the league to process.
Once you have selected the password options required and also added
any additional message at the bottom of the program, you can now
click the Send button and the emails will be sent. However,
you may wish to change the format of the email.
|
2. Email format
Clicking on the Format email button will bring up the form below: |
 |
Salutation: You can change the way the email
is adressed by right clicking on the <first
name> after the Dear.
You can either have 'Dear Bob' or Dear 'Bob Smith', depending
upon how formal you wish to be.
Main Text: The text beginning 'The
last league period...' is there by default, but you
can change it to whatever you wish.
League Info: The text shown in green is generated automatically and cannot be edited.
Additional Notes: Any message added on the main page
will be added here.
Signature: Will be added here is selected. |
|
The way that this was intended to be used, was that the email formatting
is set initially and generally not altered each time you send the
leagues. Any additional information you wish to send is added in
the message box on the To tab.
|
3. Other information
When the leagues are sent, it runs a process which creates the league
information, box by box. You cannot, therefore, send league information
to just one player.
